Senior Catering Sales Manager

Our Director of Catering is looking to expand the team with a Senior Catering Sales Manager. This is a selling-focused role responsible for booking social events, local corporate business, and weddings at our incredible hotel.
What will I be doing?
As Senior Catering Sales Manager you are responsible for the negotiation of business through proposals and contracts to close business. Maintain existing relationships with corporate and social accounts. As Sr. Catering Sales Manager you are responsible for driving revenue through the sale of catering services for events such as corporate meetings, weddings, conferences, and social gatherings. This role focuses on strategic sales planning, client relationship management.
Specifically, your essential functions will be to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Organize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed catering revenue goals
- Identify new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and referrals
- Manage inbound inquiries and convert leads into booked events
- Prepare and present customized proposals, contracts, and pricing packages
- Negotiate contracts and close high-value deals
- Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person.
- Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes
- Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.
- Selling and influencing both internal and external clients.
- Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution.
- Ensure high-quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed.
- Other duties as necessary based on business needs.
- Regular attendance.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum of 2 + years of hotel sales or catering management experience
- Flexible scheduling for networking events or tradeshows
- Strong working knowledge of Delphi FDC highly preferred
Schedule: Standard Monday - Friday between 8:30am-5:30pm, flexibility needed for networking or tradeshow events
