Human Resources Intern

A Human Resource Intern is responsible for managing HR administration responsibilities to deliver an excellent staff experience while supporting employee relations and departmental goals.

What will I be doing?

The Human Resources Intern coordinates and implements department activities and projects, as assigned. Provides clerical and office support and assistance to department management. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Coordinates projects and activities and projects, as assigned. Provides clerical and office support and assistance to department management

• Maintains communication with departments involved in the assigned project/activity - Routes incoming mail, faxes, and packages

• Assists the HR Coordinator with Recruitment and Onboarding procedures

• Coordinates with other departments in organizing internal recognition events

• Writes correspondence on behalf of the department

• Makes copies, sends/distributes outgoing mails

• Uses email system to deliver and accept emails

• Assists with a variety of requests & documentations

• Maintains detailed filing system for department

• Maintains office supplies for department

• Reports all unsafe conditions immediately

• Attends all mandatory meetings and taking minutes

• Follows and knows emergency procedures as needed

• Previous experience in or equivalent role is an asset but not required

• Excellent communication and people skills

• Committed to delivering a high level of customer service, both internally and externally

• Excellent grooming standards

• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations

• Ability to work under pressure

• Ability to work on their own or in teams

• Experience with MS Office applications and Outlook

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Knowledge of hospitality
