Hightouch

A platform specializing in Reverse ETL, enabling businesses to sync their customer data from data warehouses to SaaS applications.

People Operations Lead

Hightouch's mission is to empower everyone to take action on their data. Hundreds of companies, including Autotrader, Calendly, Cars.com, Monday.com, and PetSmart, trust Hightouch to power their growth.

We pioneered the Composable Customer Data Platform (CDP), which lets companies use their own data warehouse to collect, prepare, and activate customer data for marketing personalization and business operations. Our new AI Decisioning platform goes a step further, allowing marketers to set goals and guardrails that AI agents can then use to personalize 1:1 customer interactions. Traditionally, only technical teams had the skills to access and use customer data. With Hightouch, every business user can deliver personalized customer experiences, optimize performance marketing, and move faster by leveraging data and AI across their organization.

Our team focuses on making a meaningful impact for our customers. We approach challenges with a first-principles mindset, move quickly and efficiently, and treat each other with compassion and kindness. We look for team members who are strong communicators, have a growth mindset, and are motivated and persistent in achieving our goals.

We're based in San Francisco but have team members all over the world. Our Series C put us at a $1.2B valuation, and we are backed by leading investors such as Sapphire Ventures, Amplify Partners, ICONIQ Growth, Bain Capital Ventures, Y-Combinator, and Afore Capital.

About the Role

As our People Operations Lead, you'll run the HR operations that form the backbone of Hightouch's People function. This role is about building and running the core people processes with an eye towards optimizing our systems so they scale with us as we grow. You'll make sure the fundamentals - onboarding, benefits, HR systems, data, and compliance - are tight, so our managers and employees can focus on doing their best work. A unique opportunity to get under the hood of what it takes to manage the operations behind a global, high-growth workforce.

What You'll Do

  • Own the employee lifecycle: Run onboarding, offboarding, role changes, and other key moments with consistency, speed, and attention to detail.
  • Manage benefits and leaves: Administer health, retirement, and leave programs; ensure every step is handled smoothly, is compliant with regulations, and leaves employees feeling supported and informed.
  • Keep systems humming: Oversee HR systems (Rippling, Remote, Lattice), maintain data integrity, improve workflows, and automate recurring tasks
  • Operationalize compliance: Stay ahead of employment law updates, policies, and documentation requirements to reduce risk and ensure smooth audits
  • Be the go-to: be the point person for employee questions on People programs, benefits, payroll, and more, while also building self-service resources that make answers easy to find.
  • Manage our global workforce through EOR partners: Oversee day-to-day operations with vendors like Remote.com, ensuring compliant hiring, smooth employee experience, and consistent processes across countries

What We're Looking For

  • You bring 4+ years of People/HR experience, ideally from a high-growth environment where you've worn multiple hats and made things happen.
  • You're passionate about building smooth, reliable employee experiences and constantly look for ways to make them more magical
  • You think in systems: always asking how tools, workflows, or automation can eliminate manual steps and create better outcomes.
  • You thrive in fast-moving, unstructured environments and can design smart, scalable processes without waiting for perfect inputs.
  • You take ownership - driving work forward proactively and following through without being asked twice.
  • You earn trust quickly and communicate with clarity, whether with employees, managers, or executives.
  • You sweat the details and care about accuracy, but you also move with urgency to keep pace with the business
  • Located in NYC with the ability to work in the office 1–2 times a week.

The salary range for this position is $130,000-$160,000 annually. We also offer meaningful equity compensation in the form of ISO options, and offer early exercise and a 10-year post-termination exercise window.
