Ikuna House is a lively and welcoming home to four vibrant young women, each with a varying interest. The ladies enjoy arts and crafts, cooking, swimming, dancing, and music. Their passion for mini dance parties in the lounge is infectious, making it a must-join activity! They also eagerly anticipate their Friday or Saturday night outings.
These young women are enthusiastic about learning new skills and value opportunities to express themselves. Ensuring they feel safe and supported is paramount, with one resident requiring assistance with some personal care needs. At Ikuna House, everyone is encouraged to thrive in a nurturing and fun environment.
You will be energetic, empathetic and able to work alongside this person focusing on creating a life of rich and diverse experiences while being able to read situations, problem solve and apply boundaries or offer space. Daily tasks include supporting with daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth. You will have the confidence to support personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks. This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.50 and $29.10 per hour.
