Software Engineer

Our Integrations & Inventory team designs, builds, and continuously advances the core infrastructure that powers HeyJobs' marketplace. We process and ingest job offers daily from various sources through integrated client & partner systems, making them available across our platform. We also ensure applications are delivered successfully back to our clients' and partners' systems, creating a seamless two-way integration.

As a Software Engineer (all genders), you will design, build, optimize and maintain services and tools to ingest, validate, and maintain job offers from our clients and partners. You'll also be responsible for ensuring reliable integrations with client systems for both receiving jobs and delivering applications. Your work will involve discussing, designing, and developing various parts of our inventory and integration systems, leveraging both traditional approaches and AI-enhanced solutions.

At HeyJobs, we invest heavily in leveraging AI-augmented software engineering tooling to increase time to market and impact. You will use the latest tooling (currently Claude Code and your IDE of choice, including Cursor or GitHub Copilot) and adopt it for new workflows and use cases. As part of your journey with us, you will grow further into an AI-accelerated engineer.

In this role, you can earn an annual target salary between 57,000 - 72,000 €.

How You Can Contribute To HeyJobs

• Design, build, improve, and maintain event-driven integrations that ingest job offers from client systems and reliably deliver applications back to their systems.

• Build event-driven systems using Python

• Solve scalability and architectural challenges around high-volume data processing and integrations

• Work with AWS services (Lambda, ECS, Aurora, SQS, SNS) as part of daily development and operations

• Troubleshoot and fix bugs in our applications and integration pipelines

• Pair with other engineers on tough problems to arrive at the best solution

• Work closely with Product Managers and Integration Operations Specialists to deliver fantastic solutions

What Sets You Up For Success

• 3+ years full-time software engineering experience

• Strong Python and SQL skills

• Experience building event-driven systems and working with AWS (Lambda, ECS, Aurora, SQS, SNS)

• Interest in software design, architecture, and test-driven development

• Experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor) in your workflow

• Strong English communication; team-oriented, pragmatic, eager to learn

Bonus

• CI/CD experience

• Familiarity with Ruby or Rails
