Job Description:
This Sr. People Leader role will report to Sr. Director PMO leader within Private Cloud & Flex Solutions. HPE Private Cloud and Flex Solutions Program Management Office (PMO), is responsible for the program management and operationalization of all programs focused on Private Cloud & Flex Solutions service portfolio. The PMO works closely with multiple teams on defining and delivering HPE's transformational strategy to become the Edge to Cloud company, working with customers and partners to develop cloud-like experience wherever our customers and their data need it. This dynamic team works on strategic and cutting-edge technology projects, managing resource capabilities, schedules, budgets, and ensuring cross-company to facilitate product or project completion efficiently, on schedule and within budget.
The senior manager will manage a team of 8-9 PLM and EPM program managers, leading the team through HPE's PDLC and SDLC processes. Join this high performing and highly visible group as we develop, deliver and advance HPE's GreenLake Cloud Platform capabilities. This req is open to qualified candidates in other locations within the US.
Job Family Definition:
Provides support and/or lead teams through the Engineering development process and implementation of company's products. Projects are typically shorter-term, less complex and more contained with a defined time frame. Programs are typically longer-term, multi-functional, multi-project with complex requirements and effort. Manage activities, resource capability, schedules, budgets, and ensure cross company communications to facilitate product completion on schedule within budget. Work with engineering management to identify and improve process and program efficiencies. Work can involve external parties such as standards bodies, partners, etc.
Management Level Definition:
Applies expert subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving most complex business/technical issues within established policies. Manages activities of exempt individual contributors (typically Expert/Master) and/or MG1s. Has accountability for a large multi-department area(s) or location(s) with significant impact on business unit results and organizational strategy. Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies and long-term goals of the organization. Plans, manages, and monitors high-end operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members' primary focus is on either high-end tactical or broad strategic issues or a combination of both. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Position typically reports to Director or above. Additional Guidance/Criteria: Manages and controls activities within a sub-region or Region; Typically manages 10 or more direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.
Responsibilities:
Provides direct and ongoing leadership for an organization of multiple subordinate managers and individual contributors coordinating, managing, and leading programs to drive the engineering development and implementation of products and service offerings.
Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects and programs, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
Engages with program managers, marketing, supply chain, technical leaders and executives to communicate program status, escalate issues, and guide and influence strategic decision-making.
Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.
Provides overall people-care management for direct reports, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; drives and fosters organization-wide performance standards, expectations, and practices to support ongoing team member and process development.
Education and Experience Required:
First level university degree or equivalent experience required. Advanced university degree preferred. PMP/PMI certification preferred. Typically, 10 or more years of related project management work experience in both Hardware and Software as the role will be managing both PLM and EPM program managers. 5 or more years of people management or cross functional management experience.

USD Annual Salary: $130,500.00 - $300,000.00
