The Granby plant is currently looking for a workforce and operations planner. The candidate will report directly to the supply chain director.
Main Responsibilities:
Plan daily production, warehouse, and maintenance workforce for all shifts and for the entire plant.
Assign all active employees to a workstation according to the precise terms of the collective agreement: taking into account employees on vacation and sick leave, production schedule changes, and short-term additional needs.
Generate detailed daily workforce schedules from a custom computer tool.
Manage and allocate overtime when required.
Handle various leave requests based on required personnel and production lines in operation.
Answer employee questions regarding workforce movements and related matters.
Work collaboratively with supervisors of various functions, the planning group, human resources, the training department, and the payroll service.
Coordinate short and medium-term needs for the production lines assigned to them.
Communicate with the Supply Planning department to adjust medium and long-term planning to meet the demand of distribution centers.
Release and follow up on raw material orders with suppliers.
Required Qualifications:
College or university diploma in a related field and at least two years of experience in workforce planning or other relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Office Suite and Outlook.
Team player.
Ability to make decisions, adapt and work efficiently in an active environment.
Ability to analyze and have a comprehensive view.
High level of rigor and attention to detail.
Ability to understand and apply various articles of a collective agreement.
Ability to manage tight deadlines and meet deadlines.
Experience working in a unionized environment is a strong asset.
