What you can achieve:
- You lead the production areas of wet chemistry in precious metal recycling in Hanau and have full personnel responsibility for these, developing your team in accordance with Heraeus supply chain principles and the Heraeus leadership model.
- You ensure that all local, international and Heraeus internal guidelines and laws are complied with to ensure the safe operation of all business units of the area.
- You are responsible for the timely information to EHS about planned changes and new investments, as well as for the immediate reporting of deviations from the intended operation and work accidents.
- You manage the areas to achieve the highest efficiency standards and guarantee operational excellence.
- You collaborate intensively with the interfaces of planning, sales and the production cost centers of the entire precious metal recycling.
- You are responsible in your area for internal personnel and capacity planning, and also participate in strategic planning and decision-making with regard to plants and investments.
- In this role, you lead the wet chemical areas alkaline leaching and recycling as well as the wet chemical area of precious metal refining and coordinate projects and processes here.
- Last but not least, you ensure the transfer of knowledge between recycling sites worldwide.
What you bring with you:
- Successfully completed university studies in a chemical or technical field, ideally with a doctorate
- Proven experience in the disciplinary or professional leadership of employees
- Experience as a group or project leader in the chemical sector
- Experience in precious metal recycling with a focus on the wet chemical processing of used catalysts, alloys and precious metal containing waste
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production operations
- Very good German and English language skills in speech and writing
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications as well as SAP knowledge
- Enjoyment of working in a production-oriented environment as well as an independent, goal-oriented and structured way of working and high performance willingness and flexibility
