Schedule: 24hrs per week, 12hr Night Shift 7:00pm-7:30am
Responsibilities:
Position includes some direct patient care for pediatric patients, in addition to clerical work and tasks to keep unit organized and stocked.
Greets patients, visitors, and new admissions. Answers general inquiries and schedules patients for appointments. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls.
Performs general clerical duties including filing, email correspondence, and mail distribution. Creates various reports and documents as assigned. Helps patients/residents with basic technology and social media.
Communicates with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare team members about patient care.
Performs unit safety checks. Assists with meeting patient needs and escalates as appropriate.
May assist with meals, pass and collect trays, pass out activities, and transport patients/residents through facility. May assist with stocking supplies and keeping unit and patient rooms clean and orderly.
May maintain staff schedules and timekeeping as assigned.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. - Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Preferred PCT or Nursing Assistant experience.
Experience with administrative skills in a hospital setting preferred.
