Patient Care Technician - Cardio Unit

20 bed stroke unit, 2 PCTs on unit with each set maximum 10 patients.

Part Time 24 hrs./week - Nights. Eligible for Full-Time Benefits.

Shift: Nights 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, alternating weekend schedule.

General Summary: Performs basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Aids with movement and placement of patients.
  • Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
  • Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.
  • Keeps patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.

Certifications/Licences Required:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Certifications/Licences Preferred:

  • Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry preferred. Any issuing authority accepted.

Education/Experience Required:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. - Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
