Electrophysiology
40hrs per week; Day Shift; 6:30am-3:00pm; call would only include finishing up cases for the day; no weekends or holidays
Assists with procedures to analyze, diagnose and treat the cardiovascular system. Prepares patients for procedures. Reviews medical history, positions patients and cleans/shaves/numbs testing sites as appropriate.
Interprets, describes and reports test results. Recognizes recording errors, artifacts and reacts appropriately.
Monitors patient prior to, during and after procedures and promptly reports any abnormal findings in patient's condition.
Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies and lab area. Assists in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel and lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.
May prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
