Job Description
Our client in the global sustainability and non-profit consultancy industry is looking for a Manager, Marketing & Communications with a hybrid communications skillset to build and expand their brand and digital presence. The role will transform and evolve the organisation's market positioning by managing its global communications strategy, web and social presence, content development, and earned and paid media endeavors. Day-to-day work will be dynamic and varied, offering an opportunity to shape and amplify the brand. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with experience working cross-functionally across internal teams and external vendors and partners.
- Serve as the brand ambassador, ensuring all communications efforts align with brand guidelines and leading practices in communications, public relations, social media, user experience, and digital marketing.
- Develop and oversee the end-to-end execution of strategic marketing plans, including managing and monitoring social media and email marketing campaigns.
- Establish a robust communications calendar featuring strategic, market-relevant thought leadership activities.
- Drive content generation, including writing and editing social media posts, blog posts, news articles, press releases, media pitches, sales collateral, and website content.
- Enhance the organization's digital presence and SEO by evolving and innovating the website.
- Manage advertising, sponsorship, and other paid media campaigns and opportunities.
- Secure press and speaking opportunities, and prepare executives with briefing documents, talking points, and related materials; manage and conduct media training as needed.
- Develop, test, and scale new strategies to reach and acquire followers across various digital and non-digital platforms.
- Define key performance metrics and targets, and create regular reports and dashboards to track communications progress and derive insights.
- Support business development by maximizing inbound leads and assisting team members in proposal and outreach processes.
- Collaborate across all business functions, treating internal teams as clients, joining engagements with external partners and clients, and contributing innovative thinking to improve projects and initiatives.
- Monitor news and social media channels to keep the organization informed of relevant client updates and current events.
Qualifications
- 7–8 years of professional marketing and communications experience, preferably in an agency or professional services environment.
- BA/BS degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex, fact-based content effectively.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience managing and maintaining CRM and marketing databases.
- Experience with Google Ads and Google Analytics.
- Metrics-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent multitasking skills and the proven ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Adaptability to evolving priorities and openness to new ideas, perspectives, and approaches.
- Genuine interest in sustainability and client-focused work.
