You want to work at the intersection of human, technology, and innovation? Then you are in the right place in the L-LAB, the light lab of HELLA. As a research institute for automotive lighting technology and mechatronics, we develop the automotive lighting technology of tomorrow. At the center of our work is the investigation of the interaction between automotive technology, light, and humans.

• Development of a driver state sensor concept: You will design a system for the combination of eye-tracking data, head movement data, and other physiological signals (e.g., via wearables).
• Selection and integration of suitable sensor technology: You will identify suitable sensors and technically implement the concept – from the interface to data processing.
• Testing and validation of the concept: You will test the practicality of the developed sensor concept for use in future test drives with subjects.
• Collaboration in the project team: You will be part of an interdisciplinary, young team that develops innovative technologies and supports you in your tasks.

Your qualifications

• Enrolled student: During your time with us, you are enrolled at a university and have not yet completed your last examination.
• Field of study: You are studying computer science, electrical engineering, computer visualization, artificial intelligence, or a comparable course.
• Technical know-how: You have initial experience with sensor integration, signal processing, and/or computer vision.
• Interface skills: Ideally, you have knowledge of the development of interfaces and data fusion.
• Personal strengths: You work independently, are enthusiastic, and bring team spirit.
