Quality Assurance Manager

Coordinates the operation of quality, certifications and regulations required by the department. Plans, directs, or coordinates the work activities and resources necessary for attaining corporate and departmental goals in accordance with cost, quality, time and quantity specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creation and management of PMA Inspection Plans together with Engineering
  • Working in conjunction with Engineering
    • Design review approvals
    • Support product conformities
  • Nonconformity investigations, to include NCMs, PQEs, CCRs, etc.
  • Development of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements
  • Assist with review of certification packages for PMA Pre-Approvals
  • Assist with ongoing technical training of PMA Inspectors
  • Assist in conducting internal quality audits
  • Participate in SOP revisions as needed to support continuous improvement
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • High degree of organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to think and work independently
  • Basic understanding of lean and Six Sigma performance measurements and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Ability to process map, create and modify procedures, instructions and training documents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access.
