Health Information Services Officer

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Health Information Services Officer to join our team at Prince of Wales Private Hospital. This is a full-time, permanent position available Monday to Friday in a fast-paced and varied environment. You will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

As a Health Information Services Officer, your responsibilities will include:

• Medical record retrieval
• Provision of health information to internal and external clients
• Filing of paperwork
• Filing and culling of medical records
• Day to day functionality of the Health Information Service Department
• Participating in performance improvement activities

Essential criteria include:

• Authority to work in Australia
• Proficient in use of email, web-based applications, and Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team member in a small team environment
• Ability to work within deadlines
• Flexibility in responding to the changing needs of the business
• Commitment to document security and patient privacy
• Experience with the WebPAS patient information system (desirable)
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting or record keeping environment (desirable)
• Previous experience in Health Information Services (desirable)
