Join the team at Gold Coast Private Hospital as a Food Services Assistant! We're looking for experienced professionals to bring their skills to our team on a casual basis. If you take pride in your work, possess a friendly and positive attitude, have experience in food services within a healthcare environment or hospitality and enjoy providing exceptional customer service, this role is for you.

This role requires the successful candidate to be available to work on a 7-day rotating roster, AM and PM shifts.

• AM shift – 5:45am – 14:30pm
• PM shifts - 14:30pm – 21:00pm and 16:30pm – 21:00pm

As a Food Services Assistant, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Provide exceptional customer/patient service by preparing and serving food throughout the facility/designated area, including setting up, plating, and distributing food and beverages and by participating in food safety processes
• Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils including dish and pot washing as required
• Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture, communicating and offering help to team members and liaising with other staff to create an experience that makes a difference
• Be comfortable working with equipment such as food trolleys and carrying food trays

Essential Criteria:

• Authority to Work in Australia
• Experience in Healthcare/hospitality (preferred)
• Working with Children check (if relevant)
• Commitment to service excellence
• Strong time management and prioritisation skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Keen attention to detail
• Work well independently and within a team
• Available for on-call shifts
