Manager Digital Services
Digital Shared Services focuses on supporting clinical and business systems as the foundation for leveraging electronic data in the delivery of health-care services.
Manager Digital Services will manage a team of client service professionals with technical expertise to support clinical and business systems to enable the effective delivery of health services across the provincial health system in Manitoba, in the assigned work area such as within:
- Business Services which supports the introduction, use, optimization and sustainment of effective business administrative solutions, effective business processes, systems, services and technologies.
- Clinical Digital Solutions which supports the introduction, use, optimization and sustainment of effective clinical informatics and digital health processes, systems, services, and technologies.
- ICT Services provides shared technology access, hosting and workplace services.
- Digital Health Project Management which coordinates and manages major project initiatives incorporating technology solutions in support of key provincial health initiatives.
- Enterprise Technology which provides an effective technical ICT enterprise architecture.
- Each position will model a customer-centric approach for its assigned team, units, services, projects and improvement initiatives.
Reporting to a director, each Manager Digital Services will:
- Manage all aspects of multiple concurrent projects assigned for completion within the work unit from initiation to completion including scope, risk, change, issue, schedule, cost, quality and communication, involving the area director and vendors as required.
- Communicate requirements for projects and manage the ongoing introduction of changes, upgrades or the introduction of new applications/technology platforms to the operating environment, including acting as the primary area contact on reviews to transition assigned applications to regular operational use.
- Plan, recommend procurement or development, deliver assigned projects, and ensure ongoing maintenance (including lifecycle refresh, patching and/or application enhancements and upgrades) of assigned technologies within the enterprise architecture and required standards.
- Collaborate with vendors and exchange appropriate information to ensure the delivery of relevant outsourced services and ongoing vendor support.
- Influence or lead change management, and benefits realization measurement in coordination with business leads for key projects.
- Promote the ongoing adoption, optimization, deployment and maintenance of technologies and related equipment, updating these in alignment with the established enterprise architecture and standards, and approved operating plans.
