The Director Operations - Indigenous Health guides Shared Health operations teams with embracing an Indigenous patient, family and community centered approach. Champions among operations teams the advancement of Truth and Reconciliation, such as the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People, Calls to Action, and Calls to Justice. This position is responsible for directing multiple operational improvements within a range of service areas, departments, clinical specialties, and provincial clinical services. This position directs the operationalization of policies, programs and services related to Indigenous health care. Furthermore, this position collaborates internally with Shared Health operations teams to strengthen their relationships with Indigenous governments, partners, organizations and communities involved in health services delivery in Manitoba. Directs the implementation of Indigenous health related policies, programs and initiatives that promote equitable access and culturally safe care. Supports the implementation of the Indigenous Health Operating Model (IHOM) through operational actions.
