The Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center (SEMHC) Access Coordinator assists with scheduling patient appointments, providing outreach to patients who have no-showed an appointment, contacting those on a follow-up list or intake waitlist, and coordinates referrals from internal and external agencies. This position works to optimize and fill open time for the clinical team. The position serves as a liaison between the Patient Access Services (PAS) call center, the Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center clinical team, the patient, and the referral service/vendor to ensure needs are met within designated timelines. This position contributes to Eskenazi Health Mission: Advocate, Care, Teach and Serve with special needs emphasis on the vulnerable population of Marion County.

Models Eskenazi Health's values of Professionalism, Respect, Innovation, Development and Excellence • This position ensures that Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic ("CCBHC") clients have low barriers to treatment access. • Monitors no show, follow up, and assigned work queues to ensure client appointment needs are addressed in a timely manner, prioritizing urgent items appropriately • Schedules/reschedules appointments from no show, follow up list, and work queues; relaying information to the patient and providers • Fills open time daily for providers. • Provides direct access to patients and providers with questions or concerns surrounding access to services • Understands CCBHC standards related to treatment access and quality metrics. • Facilitates the development of progressively more sophisticated and efficient methods for clients to access ongoing care. Compiles data to trend identified issues in access to care in specific areas assigned • Communicates effectively with internal and external contacts regarding current practices • Documents all inquiries accurately for medical, legal, and statistical purposes • Assists with collection and tracking of CCBHC data.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED); Bachelor's degree preferred. • At least one year of experience in a mental health setting preferred. • Post-secondary education courses or certification in business, computers, (Word, Excel, etc.) and office management highly preferred • 1-2 years of experience in business, health care and customer service experience, office management, or health information management of medical office setting • Spanish and English proficiency preferred.
• Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Positive interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team • Excellent organizational skills • Knowledge of CCBHC standards. • Must be goal oriented, capable of completing task within a given time frame, including overcoming any barriers that arise • Self-starter with strong problem solving skills
