The Kathi & Bob Postlethwait Mental Health Recovery Center is a 24-hour short-term protective care service for persons experiencing mental illness. The 30-bed unit provides a full range of inpatient hospitalization services. These services include stabilization that prepares patients for integration back into the community or for transfer to a long-term facility. We treat both the physical health and mental health diagnoses of our clients. If the medical diagnosis is not stable, the client will stay on the medical unit with psychiatry consulting. Services are also provided for Marion County prisoners with psychiatric diagnoses. Clients will be provided medication management, physician care, nursing care, groups offered with a multidisciplinary approach, and discharge planning offered by our social services team.
The Staff Nurse III - Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center performs all functions of Staff Nurse II, providing professional nursing care to patients. Functions independently as a practitioner, demonstrating superior problem-solving decision-making and critical thinking skills.
