This position, under the general supervision of the breastfeeding Coordinator, is responsible for assisting BFC in performing high risk breastfeeding consultations with clients within established federal, state and local agency guidelines and regulations of Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Nutrition Program (WIC). This position is also responsible for assisting the BFC with mentoring and supporting staff to improve and encourage a supportive breastfeeding environment.
Thorough knowledge of WIC Supplemental Nutrition Program and principles of current breastfeeding practices.
