Develop Modern, Web-Based AI Solutions for Companies

Behind the job is a leading digital agency with over 200 employees that has built high competence in artificial intelligence (the CTO is himself a developer and there is a fixed AI unit with its own director).

The focus is on the development of innovative AI solutions and AI agent systems that help companies optimize their digital communication and processes to become more competitive.

From web applications with AI functions, automated processes, to customer service and AI-supported CRM systems - they develop tailored solutions that give customers a real advantage in the market.

As an AI developer, you will be part of a motivated team that pushes the boundaries of what is currently technologically possible. You will work on exciting B2B AI projects in the web context, ranging from conception to implementation, using the latest technologies.

The position is to be filled from Q2 or Q3 2025.

Responsibilities

Your general responsibilities...

• Development and implementation of AI-based web apps with Python and optionally with JavaScript/TypeScript as well as PHP
• Creation of individually trained AI models for customer service and business communication
• Integration of AI models & components into existing systems and web applications (incl. CRM, E-Commerce, Content Management, Conversational AI)
• Work with popular LLMs, AI APIs, and AI frameworks to create intelligent automation solutions (e.g., via n8n) and AI agents
• Development of scalable microservices for AI applications
• Implementation of security measures for AI systems
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to develop holistic web & AI solutions
• Continuous Integration and Deployment of AI applications

Qualification

Your (ideal) profile...

Programming languages

• At least 2 years of experience in backend development with Python (must-have)
• JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with web development e.g. in PHP, React, Node.js...

AI APIs & Frameworks

• Experience with the OpenAI API in the use and fine-tuning of OpenAI models (must-have)
• Experience with open source AI models (e.g., Ollama, HuggingFace), including their deployment and fine-tuning for integration into applications (must-have)
• Familiarity with LangChain for developing advanced AI applications, especially in natural language processing and content generation

Integration, Deployment, Scalability

• Experience in creating REST APIs (with FastAPI or Flask in Python or Express in Node.js) for communication with CMS platforms
• Experience with Docker for containerized applications and scalable, consistent environments
• Experience with caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis), to optimize responsiveness and latency
• (Optional) Knowledge of load balancing for load distribution and maintaining high availability

Optional

• Familiarity with SQL & NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Knowledge of ElasticSearch for search and filtering in large datasets
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines

General

• Completed degree in computer science or equivalent training in software development or comparable qualification or practical experience as a web/AI developer
• Strong understanding of data security and privacy in the context of AI applications
• Ability to independently manage complex projects while working closely with the AI team and other departments
• High degree of initiative and problem-solving skills
• German language skills at least at C1 level and good English skills, experience in international teams is an advantage
• You live either in the Greater Rhein-Main-Neckar or the Greater Düsseldorf area and can work in the respective office 2-3 times a week.
