Planning Engineer
The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project execution. The role involves coordinating with project teams, tracking progress, identifying potential delays, and supporting management with accurate planning and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Develop logic-driven MS Project baselines, tender schedules, and periodic updates.
- Lead delay analysis (TIA, windows, as-planned vs as-built, collapsed as-built) to prepare EOT recommendations and issue early notice of delays.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure alignment with the approved project schedule.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
- Assist in Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis when required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and project milestones.
Candidate Profile:
- BSc with three or more years of experience, or NDT with five or more years of experience in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in MS Project.
- Knowledge of SBD, FIDIC (entitlement, notices, EOT) or similar contract frameworks.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
