You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ELECTRICAL ENGINEER in the POWER DISTRIBUTION BRANCH (CODE 270.1) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Responsibilities include making all personnel work assignments and reviewing completed work and/or engineering reports. You will coordinate work assignments with other branch head(s) and the division head for manning assignments to support waterfront-engineering. You will plan, organize, assign, and direct all engineering services performed by personnel. You will ensure timely completion and quality of work and resolve conflicts as they arise. You will establish internal priorities and initiate change to priorities generated from external sources. You will provide interpretation of technical and administrative directives for subordinates. You will apply engineering concepts, principles and practices to all work and serve as the technical representative for the branch in the full range of shipboard electrical and electronic systems components.
Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer providing technical and managerial support in the maintenance, repair, or modernization of shipboard electrical systems to include planning and coordinating engineering activities through project completion by conducting studies to assess adaptability of proposed engineering design changes or modifications.
Education: Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree or current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
