Senior Systems Engineer

The CSFC Solutions Engineer would assist and support with the development, configuration, testing, and evaluation of Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) solutions used to secure government customers' classified data and networks. The Engineer will work individually and as a member of a team to configure network, software, and hardware networking components and security appliances and applications to meet DoD requirements and support their installation and initialization onsite in the customers' environments.

Responsibilities include architecting CSfC compliant solutions that meet NSA, DoD, and customer requirements, developing and modifying system scripts, writing standardized system documentation, and providing onsite training to technical and non-technical users on the daily use, management, and troubleshooting of the solution after installation. The Engineer will also support all Cross-Domain solution requirements, collaborate with other operations departments to design approved infrastructure, and serve as the escalation contact during large outages for Tier 2 and 3 systems.

Required qualifications include a Top Secret or higher clearance level with a completed T5 investigation, 10 or more years of experience in engineering, and one of the following DoD8140 certifications: CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), Cloud+ GCIH (GIAC Certified Incident Handler), GICSP (GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional), GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials Certification), Security+ SSCP (System Security Certified Practitioner), or Professional Systems Certification (e.g., MCSA, Linux, etc).

The work environment is an office located in Schofield Barracks/Fort Shafter, Hawaii, with a low noise level and a day shift schedule Monday – Friday. The position may require working evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs, and less than 20% travel is required. The physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The target salary range is $113,000 - $145,000, and TekSynap offers a comprehensive benefits package.
