Senior Network Engineer

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Network Engineer. This will be a remote position. The Senior Network Engineer will support the AOUSC. The responsibilities include gathering information concerning the capabilities of company products, investigating the technical capabilities of company products, and staying abreast of developments in hardware and software. The role also involves generating quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and ensuring requirements comply through formal verification methods. The Senior Network Engineer will translate high-level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and work with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements. They will establish and coordinate development of standards, practices, and procedures related to the overall network and system development. The role includes designing interfaces and bringing network and system elements together so they work as a whole. The Senior Network Engineer will assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures, serve as a customer liaison and support for business development activities, and understand and shape requirements. They will coordinate the planning, design, and installation of equipment, participate in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts, install all new hardware, systems, and software for networks, design, create, and build network services, equipment, and devices, generate system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures, monitor system performance and implement performance tuning, and review test plans/procedures to ensure they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participate in the testing process to validate requirements.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with 10+ years of networking engineering experience (or commensurate experience) and the ability to maintain a public trust clearance.

The posted pay range reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors. The posted salary range is USD $124,500.00 - USD $175,000.00 /Yr.
