As a Health Record Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring that patient records are maintained and protected according to the quality and confidentiality standards of Straub's Information Services. This includes assigning diagnosis and procedure codes and abstracting information from health records to provide an accurate and complete coded profile for reimbursement and research purposes. We are looking for someone meticulous and precise, with outstanding organizational and data management skills, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Health Information Technology from an accredited program OR Accredited Health Information Technician (AHIT) certification OR Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification, OR High school diploma AND one (1) year of varied health information/health care experience or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year of International Classification of Diseases (ICD)/Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding experience.
