Counter Worker

We are seeking a friendly and reliable Counter Worker to join our team. This role involves serving fresh poke and Hawaiian mixed plates to customers, ensuring a welcoming experience and maintaining high standards of food quality and cleanliness.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist with menu selections.
• Prepare and serve poke bowls and Hawaiian mixed plates accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash and card transactions using POS systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter and food prep areas.
• Restock ingredients and supplies as needed throughout the shift.
• Answer customer questions about menu items and specials.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Skills:

• Previous experience in food service or customer service preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Must be dependable and punctual.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of local Hawaiian cuisine is a plus.

Work Environment:

The role requires standing for extended periods and working in a kitchen and counter service setting. Occasional lifting of supplies and ingredients is necessary. The position involves a flexible schedule, ideally covering weekends.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
