Global advertising and communications group providing creative, media, and marketing services across digital, print, and experiential channels.

Account Executive

Arena is a media agency designed exclusively for clients who live in culture – think Gaming, Arts, Film, TV and Fashion. From Puma to JBL, Bumble, Rémy Cognac, Cointreau, Bethesda to Square Enix, UKTV to Universal Music, the list is impressive and it's growing. We are here to rewrite the rules of entertainments & create meaningful moments in culture. Do you want to challenge the status quo? Do you think there's a better way that defies the tired, outdated conventions you see from most of today's media agencies? Do you have an appetite to do the type of work that gets more shared, more talked about, more noticed? If yes, then we are for you.

We want people who feel a passion for this industry, who are naturally curious, who live and breathe culture. We want fresh opinions and ideas. Thinking that challenges the status quo and that leads to innovation. Our philosophy here is to hire for attitude, train for skill. If you've got the qualifications great. If you've got the passion even better.

This role is on our Harman team, working primarily across the JBL product campaigns across EMEA. Reporting directly to an Account Manager and working alongside an Account Director, you will also sit within a much wider team which comprises a Managing Partner, Client Partner, Business Director and multiple Account Directors, Managers and Executives. It's a fast-paced team, with endless opportunities to learn and develop.

We are looking for an entry level candidate (up to 1-2 years experience) who is highly motivated and pro-active. The position ideally requires someone who is passionate about the industry and keen to learn. We need an enthusiastic candidate who is accustomed to the pressures and quick turnarounds of account handling across all media. The candidate should have enthusiasm and a passion for the category and an interest in media planning and buying.

Due to the nature of our agency and business, the candidate must have good communication skills; able to multi-task to an exceptional level; good organizational skills and understand that a high level of service to our clients is expected. They should also be a creative thinker – someone who is willing to put forward smart, innovative and creative ideas to help address our client's challenges.

The primary focus of the Account Executive role is to support your team by ensuring that all internal processes are correctly adhered to. This role is the backbone of the team with a heavy focus on admin-based tasks, therefore organizational skills, strong excel capabilities, an analytical mind and an ability to prioritize multiple deadlines are essential.

Key elements of this role include:

  • Co-ordination of campaign briefings and campaign trackers
  • Updating of relevant documents to ensure all stakeholders are clear on current status and next steps
  • Reactively adapting and updating excel based media plans based on client feedback (budget changes, live dates, overview tabs etc)
  • Supporting the planning and coordination of media campaigns across multiple European markets, ensuring inputs, timelines and budgets are aligned
  • Supporting campaign implementation, QA'ing and troubleshooting, with the support of your Account Manager
  • Working alongside ad ops on campaign tagging and reporting requirements
  • Collating and QA'ing reporting data to adhere to client templates
  • Ensuring all standard client requirements are delivered correctly and on time (screenshot decks, status documents, spend pacing trackers etc.)
  • Ensuring all finance documents are correctly completed (reconciliations, invoicing, finance trackers etc)
  • Ensuring a pro-active and collaborative approach to working with the internal teams is always upheld. This includes:
    • Attendance of regular team update meetings to share plans, share experience, and discuss possible areas plans can approve.
    • Working closely with the biddable/digital buying team to deliver brilliant, innovative digital campaigns.
    • Sharing a passion for the work we are doing for our clients.

Office hours are 9.15am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday. 25 days holiday per annum. 4 days mental health allowance. Full training will be provided once evaluation of skill set has been undertaken. Hybrid Working (3 days a week in the office).

Our clients are enthusiastic, talented people that are enjoyable to work with; recognise the time and effort we put into our standard of service and treat us as part of their team. As the industry is young and creative, so are the staff and that makes our job dynamic, involved and pioneering. Arena Media represents a similar approach. We are highly motivated, empowered and creative. Due to this we are a company of enthusiasts within the entertainment business that truly enjoy the work we do and the company we work for. This opportunity allows for the individual not only to be involved in media innovation across all sectors and platforms but to work with one of the most innovative and fast-moving industries there is.

Contract Type: Permanent
