Hato Hone St John has been serving New Zealanders since 1885. Today, our 11,000-strong team of kaimahi and volunteer works across Aotearoa to enhance the health and wellbeing of our communities. From responding to 111 calls to supporting people to stay healthy through our mahi in health education, access, and monitoring, we are making life-changing differences every day.

At Hato Hone St John, we use Salesforce as the primary CRM platform to support a vast range of services from training and donations to supporter engagement and medical alarms. We're looking for an experienced and certified Salesforce Administrator to help us get the very best from our platform and provide professional, informed advice and support for the Salesforce application and its users. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing day-to-day system administration — managing users, profiles, security, and licenses.
  • Delivering technical support and development, diagnosing root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Working with project teams to configure and deliver new use cases within Salesforce.
  • Maintaining consistent and aligned development, test, and production environments.
  • Supporting the software testing process in collaboration with our Test team.
  • Performing data integrity and reconciliation tasks (imports, exports, queries, mass updates).
  • Proactively reviewing configuration, data, and usage to ensure long-term system integrity and adoption.

You'll also build strong, credible relationships across the organisation, working with colleagues and system users to understand their needs, provide informed advice, and deliver solutions that make a genuine impact.

We are looking for a Salesforce professional who is comfortable working independently in a complex environment and take pride in delivering quality, reliable outcomes.

You'll bring:

  • Salesforce Administrator certification (required).
  • At least three years' experience in a Salesforce Administrator role.
  • Ideally, a developer background or strong technical aptitude.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills — able to translate technical issues into business terms.
  • A highly collaborative team player with a genuine desire to help others succeed.

At Hato Hone St John, we embrace diversity, welcoming everyone to bring their authentic selves to work. We value unique perspectives, fostering inclusivity to better serve our communities, and we're committed to creating a workplace where everyone belongs.

If you need accommodations for accessibility, please reach out to the recruiter listed for equitable participation in our recruitment process.

Research shows that women and people from under-represented groups are less likely to apply for roles when their experience doesn't match the job description perfectly. If you're excited and think you have what it takes, we want to hear from you! Even if your experience doesn't align 100%. Please apply or contact the recruitment advisor listed on the advertisement for a kōrero.
