About the Role

As our People Data & Insights (PDI) Support Specialist, you'll lead the identification and delivery of improvements to people data and reporting processes, while also managing shared inbox enquiries and escalations from the PDI Analyst and driving enhancements in complex PayGlobal and MSS (self service module) work. Together, you'll build trust in our people data and enable smarter decision-making across the organisation.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you will:

  • Be the point of contact for the PD&I Support Analyst with regard to more technical HRIS enquiries which have come from the business via the HRIS inbox or case management tools.
  • Develop innovative and practical solutions to the management, transfer and reporting of HR data with the aim of streamlining processes.
  • Develop and implement HR Administration systems / processes that are effective, efficient and consistent nationally. Includes monitoring the flow of information between the various HR departments and actively seeking out further process improvements.
  • Ensure the maintenance of HRIS Systems process documentation and the Key Defined Field (KDF) library
  • Build constructive collaborative relationships with other colleagues working with systems and data to support the management, transfer, and development of HR Data. Including providing training and mentoring on the databases and systems that the team is responsible for.
  • Provide analysis as required by key stakeholders on data provided by HRIS and provide expertise to other Hato Hone St John stakeholders on how to best use any HR data provided by the People team.

This role reports to the People Data & Insights Manager and as a HRIS team, we're beginning a transformational journey. You'll gain exposure to the latest thinking in people data, including opportunities to explore AI applications and be a part of their development – very exciting times!

About You

We're unpacking historical complexities and building new capability — and we're looking for someone who loves the challenge as much as the reward. Skills & experience we require include:

  • Confident user of SSRS, SQL Server and related database technologies.
  • Experience with large, complex data sets across multiple systems.
  • Confident level of technical knowledge and skill to assist and direct Hato Hone St John and external vendors to provide the best possible solutions, views, data strategies and automations.
  • Ability to balance stakeholder needs, prioritise effectively, and apply analytical and logical thinking to solve problems.
  • Curiosity, creativity and flexibility with a willingness to help across the team as and when needed.
