Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Major Incident Support Team Member to join our dynamic team in Invercargill, New Zealand. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our organization delivers a world-class response during major incidents, large events, and periods of high workload or crisis.

  • Provide non-clinical support to the Ambulance Operations and Event Health Services teams at planned and unplanned events, major incidents, and natural disasters
  • Assist with administration, communications, welfare, and logistics tasks as required
  • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor while working under pressure
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other stakeholders to achieve shared goals
  • Demonstrate a customer-focused approach and provide exceptional support to ensure seamless operations
  • Remain flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing situations and evolving priorities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying and suggesting process enhancements

Qualifications

  • A current, clean full New Zealand Driver's License, with the ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles confidently
  • A valid First Aid certificate
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to maintain performance under pressure
  • Physical fitness to perform the required duties
  • Minimum age of {AGE} years
  • New Zealand citizenship or permanent resident status
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in using computers and relevant software/applications
  • Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
