The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) Department of Psychiatry is seeking a full-time Director of Neuropsychology to lead the Neuropsychology Service, beginning July 1, 2026. The Service, which includes an affiliation with the Massachusetts Mental Health Center (MMHC) clinical psychology internship and the combined BIDMC/MMHC Neuropsychology fellowship programs, is an integral part of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a tertiary care hospital and a major teaching and training site for Harvard Medical School. This position provides a superb opportunity for a Director who will bring innovation and uphold the Department's mission to provide extraordinary patient-centered clinical care supported by world-class education and research. The Director will assume responsibility for leading the clinical service and the development and implementation of a strategic plan moving forward in order to ensure the highest levels of service, patient care, and Neuropsychology training.
The Director, utilizing the rich clinical, educational, and research resources of the Psychiatry Department and other departments in the Medical Center, will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the Service. S/he must have demonstrated excellence in clinical, teaching, and administrative activities, possess the ability to lead an interdisciplinary team within the general hospital setting, and have at least five years of experience. Experience and/or strong interest in research is preferred.
Candidates must possess a PhD in Clinical Psychology with an APA-approved internship and Neuropsychology Fellowship training; be board certified in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP-CN); and be licensed or license-eligible in Massachusetts. The position includes an appointment at Harvard Medical School at an appropriate rank.
