The Vice President, Lead Trading Systems Engineer, is a strategic and hands-on technology leader responsible for the reliability, scalability, and performance of front office platforms. This role supports and enhances systems across research, portfolio implementation, order management and trading. It is a critical role serving the needs of portfolio managers, traders, operations and investment compliance teams.
The engineer will work in a hybrid environment of vended platforms such as, Charles River IMS and FactSet, along with proprietary systems. In this role you will help drive both innovation and operational excellence in a mission-critical environment. The trading desk operates during market open hours for US, Europe, and Asia, requiring high availability and rapid issue resolution.
This role will report into the Head of Data Analytics and Investment Technology within the Investment Technology team and will directly influence trading efficiency, system uptime, and time to market for new investment strategies. Success in this role means having a proactive, hands-on, and collaborative attitude. This individual will need to excel in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment and be proactive in establishing productive relationships with key stakeholders throughout the process. Expected range for this Chicago-based role $175,000 - $210,000 USD
