About the Role

Provide local support to India OEMs(Mahindra, TATA and MSIL) for Car Audio amplifier products as the important technical interface for business ramp up. Responsible for Amplifier mechanical design and analysis if needed and help solving problems to secure product flawless launch in India to promote customer satisfaction. Work closely with mechanical team in China and other team members, includes but not limited to PM, Hardware Engineering, CAM, Manufacturing, Software departments to drive successful project delivery to meet timing, cost and quality. Act as the core team member to ramp up India local team per business needs.

  • Secure flawless program launch to promote customer satisfaction
  • Lead to solve the development problem & maintenance issues for India programs
  • Mechanical development and close work with Chinese team to secure program launch to meet timing, cost and quality
  • Oversees all India running projects from a technical perspective and intervenes where needed in order to fulfil customer and internal requirements
  • Hold all mechanical design reviews where deemed necessary and follow the process
  • Support India plant manufacturing and product mass production
  • Act as core team member to ramp up India local team per business needs
  • Potential team lead for India team or technical expert per business and career development.
  • Support change management from customer and make smooth execution.

What You Will Do

  • Provide local support to India customers as technical interface
  • Provide mechanical development for amplifier products and closely work with Chinese team to ensure mechanical deliverables.
  • Leading cooperation with other functions (PM/CAM/HW/SW/SYS/SQE/AME/Plant) to secure program flawless launch.
  • Lead to solve the development problem & maintenance issues for India programs
  • Support RFQ engineer on RFI/Q projects for ensuring timely delivery.
  • Be responsible for requirement analysis, review, execution and monitoring.
  • Oversee India programs execution to meet timing, cost and quality
  • Be responsible for the confirmation of proto sample, tooling and OTS sample.
  • Hold all mechanical design reviews and analysis to make signoff for releasing.
  • Be responsible for creating mechanical verification test plan and monitoring the test implementation
  • Communicate and align customer change request to be implemented to be compliant with overall program timing, cost and quality execution
  • Help to train less experienced engineers in India if needed to support business ramp up.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • At least 10+ years solid product development experience.
  • Good mechanical relevant core competency for automotive product development.
  • Rich experience to support customer and manufacturing plant to secure mass production
  • Familiar with automotive electronic product development lifecycle process.
  • Willing to work with global team, good communicator to customer and internal teams
  • Strong skillset on problem solving and methodology of A3, 8D, 3L5Why.
  • Familiar with CATIA tool with solid mass production development experience
  • Must be familiar with die-casting and metal Parts development
  • Proper drafting, dimensioning and tolerance techniques, including GD&T.
  • DFMEA process or TS16949/APQP process.
  • Education requirement: Mechanical or relevant Bachelor or above
  • Ability to work effectively within a global environment.
  • Good level of English

  • Solid product development experience and mass production support
