About the Role:
As the Director of Global Marketing and Advertising, you will create and deliver the global brand strategy and 3-year brand growth plan for JBL. You will provide governance, positioning, and messaging leadership, as well as develop the multi-year advertising roadmap which will influence regional spend across JBL programs and campaigns. This position is accountable for driving performance and results, and aligning multiple teams and agency partners with business, brand, and organizational priorities.
This role reports to the Director, Marketing Brand Strategy and Management and will have one direct report: Manager, Marketing Brand Governance and Campaigns.
What You Will Do:
In this role, you'll help shape how the world experiences the JBL brand. You'll bring people together around a clear, inspiring brand direction and make sure our teams across the globe have what they need to bring that story to life.
Lead Brand Positioning Development
- Partner with insights teams to gather consumer, cultural, and competitive learnings that guide creative and media choices, supporting a test-and-learn approach.
Own & Evangelize Global Brand Strategy
- Align and inspire teams around JBL's brand expression and purpose, ensuring regional and functional partners can activate it effectively.
Annual Brand Planning Processes
- Lead annual brand planning, including calendars, milestones, and roles across global and regional teams.
- Build 360 activation and investment frameworks and reinforce evergreen brand platforms.
Brand Governance
- Maintain guidelines, toolkits, and asset libraries, ensuring global consistency and thoughtful regional adaptation.
Execute Advertising Campaigns
- Manage agency briefs, timelines, budgets, and production; ensure high-quality campaign rollout.
- Maximize ROI on large-scale media budgets through strong creative, smart media planning, and effective partnerships.
What You Need to Be Successful:
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in brand management, advertising, or related marketing functions, including significant experience leading global cross-functional teams at a director level or above.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize market, competitive, and consumer data into actionable insights.
- Advanced experience managing agency relationships, campaign deliverables, budgets, and creative production.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to resolve complex challenges and drive consensus among diverse teams.
- Strategic problem-solving abilities; experience identifying and leveraging available resources to solve vital operational and organizational challenges and/or opportunities.

- Systems thinking approach to design scalable playbooks, asset systems, and processes that travel across markets.
- Powerful vision for how brands can become best in class, and the tenacity to pioneer cross-functional ways of working and break through organizational siloes to achieve superior outcomes.
