ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Test Engineer to help test and qualify audio, video and control products for professional markets globally. As a test engineer you will be part of both in-house development projects and jointly developed products with our partners. You will be part of ensuring that our products are verified and validated according to specifications. This includes working with internal developers and suppliers focusing on ensuring product verification and validation as agreed and in accordance with standards. All this is close cooperation with both Systems Engineers, developers, Project Managers and Product Managers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

In close cooperation with the Systems Engineer, the Test Engineer performs and manages tests for in-house projects and supports the JDM/ODM/OEM suppliers in executing product tests and verification plans that are in accordance with standards, reviews all test documentation and associated reports, and conducts critical tests in-house or at 3rd party test facilities.

• Manage test plans and perform test and verification activities for in-house development projects according to requirements, standards, and use-case scenarios.
• Critical review of all test verification documentation and associated reports.
• Contribute to design reviews of samples, prototypes, and more mature hardware.
• Plan, execute, analyze, and document test and verification activities.
• Ensure proper product test documentation.
• Identify, assess, and communicate risks to product performance, safety, and compliance.
• Communicate closely with Systems Engineers and Project Managers.
• Support delivering products to the market on scope, time, cost, and quality.
• Support quality assurance and supplier quality control.
• Ensure or execute relevant performance measurements of products.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• BS in engineering.
• Min. 4+ years' experience in testing and verification of electro-mechanical products.
• 4+ years of embedded products design verification experience.
• Experience with board level electrical testing.
• Experience with audio/video products system testing.
• Experience with Microphone, DSP, Amplifier, Mixer system testing
• Lab equipment experience (Spectrum Analyzer, Scope, Network Analyzer, Audio Precision, Signal generator, etc).
• Experience developing and executing product verification test ideally in the audio (DTS, Dolby, PCM, AAC, WMA, MP3), video (HDMI, BD, DVD, Stream media), AMP, WIFI/Blue tooth. Consumer electronics industry and embedded system architecture
• Strong interest in product test/qualification and product quality.
• Analytic, systematic, and proactive approach to test and verification tasks.
• Strong interest in technical root cause analysis.
• Fluent in Chinese and English speech and writing.
• Comfortable with fast-paced and multitasking environment.

• Ability to handle a variety of projects simultaneously
• Ability to work in a quickly changing environment
• Ability to attend group meetings, and communicate effectively
• Knowledge of automation testing skills is a plus
• Experience with Java, Python, C++, or other programming languages is a plus
• Knowledge of Linux system
• Experience with Android system testing
• Strong communication skills
• Work with a local and global team
