As a DSP Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating new audio technologies within Harman's audio processing tool suites AudioworX based on internal and external stakeholders' requirements.
Design and development of audio DSP algorithms and software for automotive audio products.
Drive innovation, analyze competitive products and opportunities for differentiation.
Audio algorithm development in consideration of both audio performance and footprint for later effective implementation on any amplifier or head unit platform.
Port and optimize audio algorithms & signal processing blocks to DSPs.
Work together with internal/external stakeholders to ensure that SW development is aligned with overall SW architecture/requirements.
Presentation of technology concepts to internal/external stakeholders.
Design, implementation, and demonstration of algorithm prototypes/proof of concepts.
Task definition, design and code reviews, testing, and documentation of code functionality.
Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent, PhD preferred.
Profound experience in R&D in the fields of digital (audio) signal processing and (DSP) algorithms.
Experience working in the professional or consumer audio industry, technology industry, or automotive industry.
Profound knowledge in acoustics, psychoacoustics, sound quality, sound field measurement and equalization, and related fields.
Experience in professional SW engineering / agile SW development.
At least 5+ years of experience in audio DSP software development/software architecture, or algorithm design.
Profound experience in C/C++ programming with exposure to embedded systems.
Experience with DSPs such as ADI Sharc family.
Experience in MATLAB programming.
Experience in Jira and Scrum processes will be an add-on.
Experience with ASPICE or similar processes is a plus.
Hands-on experience in managing multiple projects.
Experience working in Linux-based embedded software.
Willingness to work in an office located in Bangalore, India.
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
