About the Role

As an B&I Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of new software—ranging from prototyping and writing functional code to testing and implementation. This role will leverage your knowledge of programming languages and databases. You will collaborate with the team to support various stages of the software development life cycle. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Manager.

What You Will Do

• Continuously partner with colleagues in automotive division to ensure that the planned objectives are met
• Guide a team in the creation of different levels of design like – LLD, HLD etc. and develop code for the same
• Participate for the code review and planning activities
• Actively provide support for the software delivery process

What You Need to Be Successful

• Maintain the integration, build and release system for infotainment ECU
• Design and maintain new features and functionality for CI/CD system
• Maintain build systems for multiple OS targets including Android, QNX and Linux
• Design and maintain component level CI systems for C/C++ languages
• Integration of test infrastructure and test suites into CI/CD systems to aid in validation & verification activities
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Self-motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision.
• Evaluate submitted code changes for correctness, quality, and adherence to coding standards and architectural guidelines.
• Able to use/validate/develop the automated scripts to perform daily integration builds.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, version control strategies, and release management protocols.
• Monitor Pipeline Health: Identify and resolve bottlenecks or failures in the CI/CD process related to MR approvals.
• Maintain clear records of approvals, rejections, and rationale for audit and traceability purposes.
• Contribute to the evolution of MR approval workflows, automation tools, and quality gates.

What Makes You Eligible

• Proven experience in software development, DevOps, or CI/CD pipeline management.
• Strong understanding of Git workflows, version control, and branching strategies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and static code analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to code quality and security.
• Familiarity with Android, QNX, or Linux-based systems.
• Advanced experience with version control systems (Git ideally) and branching strategies / trunk based development at large scale
• Experience of designing and implementing build & continuous integration systems with a focus on speed and quality
• Prior experience with C and C++ programming languages preferred
• Prior experience with CICD systems such as Gitlab CI or Github Actions
• Prior experience with using Artifact management systems such as Artifactory to store binary content
• Excellent scripting skills (Python, shell/bash) for automation.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must have good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
