About The Role

HARMAN is continuing to build its team in automotive In-Vehicle Infotainment platform development and integration. We are looking for talented beginners and professionals with expertise in Android applications and framework and who can strengthen our team and are eager to bring their knowledge, experience, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas into our automotive business. We are searching for an Android developer with background in infotainment software. As an ideal candidate, you have few years of experience in Android framework and applications layers.

• Android applications and framework development for Automotive In-Vehicle Infotainment systems
• Development of modern user interfaces like 3D or AI based
• Work with AAOSP tree
• Review code of other team members
• Conduct research and development for new technologies and products

What You Need To Be Successful

• 2+ years in SW development experience.
• 2+ years in SW development for Android experience
• Good knowledge of software development best practices and design principles
• Good knowledge of Java and Kotlin
• Knowledge of 3D Framework and tools like Unity, UE, etc.
• Knowledge of Google Android essentials, Android Studio, memory management, file I/O, concurrency, multi-threading, etc.
• Knowledge of Android UI systems like View, Jetpack Compose, etc.
• Knowledge of version control systems and practical experience with Git
• Strong communication skills in English

Bonus Points If You Have

• Knowledge of UX/UI principles and tools (Figma, Blender, etc.)
• Knowledge of C++, Rust
• Knowledge of Android Native and Core libraries
• Knowledge in Linux
• Software Architecture and Design (UML tools)
• Work experience in Automotive domain
