This role involves the design and development of acoustic transducers such as speakers, subwoofers, and amplifiers, working closely with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.

What you will do:

  • Design and develop acoustic transducers (ex. speaker, subwoofer, and amplifier).
  • Complete the product development activity with the cross-functional team.
  • Provide all required documents to the plant team for development and SOP.
  • Plan and manage customer projects and alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the CPM team for timeline and all other project management related activities.
  • Support new upcoming RFQ projects, prepare some concept level design for customer proposal and quotation.
  • Design decisions related to plastic/sheet metal components.
  • Engage in customer communication.
  • Receive input from Technical Lead/Manager for the execution of the assignment.
  • Adhere to quality process, on-time delivery, and quality of the deliverables.
  • Participate in project reviews with cross-functional team.
  • Lead and drive complex new product development products starting from RFQ, prototyping & testing.
  • Prepare, monitor, update, and maintain all engineering documentation in line.

What you need to be successful:

  • Minimum 10 to 12 years of hands-on experience in the design & development of plastic & sheet metal products, to work on CAD software (2D & 3D), Catia V5, UG NX, PTC Creo.
  • Good knowledge of GD&T and International Standards preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of speaker, tweeter, amplifier, woofers, etc. Additional acoustic knowledge is appropriate.
  • Good drawing, reading, and understanding abilities.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Good knowledge of DFM/DFA, 1D-stackup.
  • Plan for the execution of the assignment.
  • Discuss and finalize the time estimation and delivery date with the Technical Lead and customers.
  • Discuss the workload projections with the Technical Lead/managers for planning.
  • Good knowledge of MS office, Excel, Power Point.
  • Guarantee team competence alignment to project requirements.
  • Participate in critical Design Reviews.
  • Interact directly with suppliers and coordinate with the team.

  • Good communication skills are desirable.
  • Must be good at problem-solving and critical thinking.
