Harlem Children's Zone (HCZ) — a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York — seeks an enthusiastic, dedicated, and mission-aligned Benefits Generalist to join the Human Resources Department.

The Benefits Generalist will bring a passion for the mission of Harlem Children's Zone: break the cycle of intergenerational poverty with comprehensive, on-the-ground programming that builds up opportunities for children and families to thrive in school, work, and life.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources Operations, the HRBG will be responsible for overseeing benefits programs that include but are not limited to administration of all benefits and retirement programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement, leave of absence and accommodation management and compliance with organizational, federal, states, and local regulations, vendor relationships, and serving as the primary point of contact for all benefits related questions and concerns from employees and leadership.
