HR Administrator

The HR Operations Administrator provides assistance with daily transactional/operational HR activities and special projects to the HR Operations team. The HR Operations Administrator manages high volume transactions such as employee life cycle updates, onboarding initiatives, leave of absences, and employee notifications. This role provides assistance and continuity to the HR Operations Coordinators during peak times and with projects. The HR Operations Administrator performs a full range of administrative and transactional HR duties, which require a thorough understanding of HR systems, internal policies and procedures, Collective Agreements, and relevant legislation.

Days, Monday to Friday with willingness to be flexible with working hours to suit operational requirements. 37.5 hours per week. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. This position is temporary until March 2027.

Qualifications

  1. 1 year of Human Resources experience.
  2. 1 year HRIS (PeopleSoft, Oracle, and Taleo experience and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) experience.
  3. 1 year data entry/management experience.
  4. 1 year experience in a client/customer facing role.
  5. Undergraduate Degree (Business, Finance, Human Resources, or other relevant).
  6. Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or working towards preferred.
  7. Knowledge of HR operations activities (payroll, defined benefit pensions, benefits, and compensation) employee life cycle transactional processes (onboarding, recruitment, leaves of absence, separation, etc.).
  8. Knowledge of Collective Agreements and HHS policies.
  9. Intermediate technical skills using Oracle Cloud, Taleo, and Microsoft Office.
  10. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  11. Exceptional customer service skills.
  12. Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  13. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a high performance environment.
  14. Demonstrated analytical ability and problem solving skills.
  15. Ability to handle stressful issues and communicate with a variety of people and situations in a courteous, professional manner.
  16. Ability to work with tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
  17. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
