Operations Manager

Are you a decisive operations leader who thrive in fast-moving logistics environments? Can you balance people leadership, customer relationships, and commercial performance? Ready to share culture, drive operational excellence, and lead change at scale? Here at GXO, we're seeking a high-performing Operations Manager to join our Thrapston Primark site. You'll be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the GXO Primark operation, ensuring the site delivers against KPI's, customer expectations, and budgeted costs, while embedding GXO values and a culture of continuous improvement. You'll lead and manage operations and resources in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner, delivering excellent customer service, strong financial performance, and a positive, high-engagement workplace culture. This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work'any 5 from 7', covering the hours of 09:00 till 17:00. Pay, benefits and more: We're looking to offer a salary of up to £62,000 per annum, and 31 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day: Embed 6s, Gemba Walks, Rapid 8D, and other CI methodologies Ensure full compliance with GXO Health & Safety policies and standards, supporting the Road to Zero strategy Lead, coach, and develop Shift Managers and operational teams Analyse operational processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and bottlenecks Build strong, positive employee relations, including absence, performance, succession, and development management What you need to succeed at GXO: Demonstratable experience within a fast-moving logistics or distribution environment Proven success in a similar operations leadership role, including P&L responsibility Strong track record of managing and developing customer relationships Outstanding people management and leadership skills Confident decision-maker with the ability to challenge the status quo We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
