As an employee in the Financial Services segment at Guidehouse, you will join a team of professionals who combine technical expertise with business pragmatism to support clients including approximately 300 financial services companies; 8 of the Top 10 largest banks in the U.S.; all of the Big 5 banks in Canada; federal financial regulators and lending agencies; and top U.S. and international law firms. Our Consultants help our clients transform their business processes, improve internal controls, improve efficiency of operations, increase transparency and performance management, and to comply with Federal laws and regulations. During your internship, you will be given the opportunity to support projects to address some of the most significant project challenges faced federal clients. The nature of our projects is extremely fluid and requires self-motivated individuals that are willing to develop solutions on their own or in a team of highly skilled professionals. Project members are provided the opportunity to interact with our clients' senior management, as well as the opportunity to enhance their skills in the area of technical competency, business development, client service and people development.
Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree (Must graduate from an accredited degree program between Fall of 2025 a Summer of 2026)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, Secret, or higher level of federal/government security clearance.
US Citizenship is required for security clearance.
Majoring in: Business, Finance, Analytics, Computer Engineering, or other related field of study
Possesses strong oral and written communication skills
Heightened attention to detail, and the ability to create and edit technical and non-technical written work products and graphical presentations
Ability to view problems from multiple angles and apply a variety of solutions to solving them
Ability to participate in client-facing discussions and meetings
Ability to synthesize information quickly and learn new skills
Desire to support public sector clients with a focused mission on financial services
Knowledge and understanding of management principles
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to define and document operations processes and create requirements documents
Experience planning and executing projects of varying degrees of complexity, preferably projects that involve serving a client and engaging directly with the client throughout project performance
Experience working in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with IT solutions and systems in an analyst capacity working with stakeholders and technical experts
Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle
