Account Manager

When it comes to health, we're always looking for ways to push for better. It's why we were founded in the first place. In 1957, our founder, pharmacist William Wilkinson, witnessed a mother sacrifice her health by forgoing her own medicine to pay for her sick daughter's prescription. He knew there had to be a better way. So, he introduced North America's first prepaid drug plan, and GreenShield was born as a not-for-profit with a mission to support better health for all Canadians.

We aren't just a health and benefits company. We're the only not-for-profit social enterprise that brings worlds of coverage and care together, all in one place. We're noble challengers, purposefully building a better way and we need the best people to help us create a more holistic approach that takes care of the mind and body. Our mission is to create better health for all Canadians, and we know that starts with our employees.

The Account Manager will play a key role in supporting the Director of Sales in managing and expanding GreenShield's specialty pharmacy network. This individual will help strengthen relationships with physicians, clinics, and patient support programs (PSPs) while driving revenue growth through exceptional account management and operational coordination. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment where collaboration, patient focus, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned physician and clinic accounts.
  • Support the Director of Sales in developing and executing territory and account strategies.
  • Maintain strong, trust-based relationships with healthcare professionals and office staff.
  • Conduct regular check-ins to ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage onboarding of new clinics and assist with partnership documentation or agreements.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to identify new business opportunities and contribute to revenue growth strategies.
  • Track sales performance, monitor trends, and support development of quarterly business reviews.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and reports for senior leadership.
  • Support implementation of new programs or Patient Support Programs (PSP) partnerships.
  • Liaise with internal departments (Operations, Nursing, and PSP teams) to ensure seamless execution of services.
  • Monitor account activity, including infusion scheduling, reimbursement workflows, and service delivery timelines.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise with clients or PSP partners to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure all account data is up to date.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Health Sciences, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in account management, pharmaceutical sales, specialty pharmacy or healthcare operations.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain client relationships at multiple organizational levels.
  • Strong communication, empathy, adaptability, accountability, problem-solving, customer-centric, and presentation skills.
  • A proactive, professional, and collaborative attitude.

Nice To Have:

  • Specialty pharmacy experience.
  • Exposure to CRM's, Power BI and Microsoft Excel (advanced).
  • Experience with Patient Support Programs (PSP) partnerships.
  • Negotiation and active listening skills.
