Water Engineering Intern

Compensation: $17.55 - $17.55 (Based on Experience)

Summary: The Water Engineering Intern will support GLWA's active and pending capital improvement projects by participating in site visits, construction site visits and assisting in the preparation of future project plans, design documents and construction document management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist engineering team with design document development including RFP development with specifications and drawings.
  • Review shop drawings and other construction submittals.
  • Attend operational plant site visits to collect and verify design information.
  • Attend construction site visits for meetings and or work verification.
  • Data synthesis and analysis.
  • Provide plant support with document review and development and technical support.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in an associates, bachelors or master's degree program with an accredited college or university.
  • Currently enrolled in a related degree program to the internship in which they are applying.
  • A student in good standing and classified by their institution as a rising sophomore or higher.
  • Able to commit to working at least 20 hours per week.
  • Able to commit to the intern position for a minimum of two months.

Other Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License

Note: Part-Time employment is not eligible for health benefits, however, is eligible to participate in the 457 Retirement Plan.
