Job Summary/Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing accounting and administrative services to Shared Services Accounting personnel and assisting with various accounting projects.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting with the accounting duties for one or more station locations
• Preparing and posting journal entries
• Preparing forecasting and budgeting data
• Coding and reviewing AP invoices
• Reviewing and approving expense reports
• Prepare monthly reconciliations
• Complete the monthly close process
• Working with group invoices, music, network fees, and other service agreements
• Cross-training with other accounting members for backup purposes
• Assisting with various accounting projects & analysis
• Supporting the audit request process by pulling requested documentation as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have previous accounting experience
• Accounting or related degree required
• Must possess strong math and computer skills
• Proficiency in Excel
• A working knowledge of accounting functions
• Excellent organization skills
• Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
