Your Role
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the friendly face and helpful voice our customers count on. You'll make sure every interaction in person, by phone, or online reflects our commitment to outstanding service and teamwork.
What You'll Do
Customer Care
- Welcome and engage with customers in a friendly, professional, and empathetic way.
- Listen carefully to their needs, concerns, and feedback.
- Provide clear, accurate information about our services, pricing, and policies.
- Resolve customer issues promptly and work toward positive outcomes every time.
Communication & Coordination
- Handle customer communications through phone, email, chat, and in person.
- Keep detailed and organized notes in the phone log and customer records.
- Share customer insights and feedback with the team to help us improve.
- Collaborate with managers on any complex customer concerns or service challenges.
Service Support
- Help schedule customer appointments and assist with daily service operations.
- Step in as a backup for Service Advisors when needed.
- Generate reports on sales metrics, customer feedback, and service trends.
Parts & Logistics
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and checking parts deliveries for accuracy and quality.
- Process parts returns, ensuring all documentation is complete and timely.
- Transport parts between vendors or locations when needed.
- Drive the courtesy shuttle or run company errands as required.
Training & Development
- Complete 40 hours of professional training each year.
- Participate in ATI training (one hour per week) until the program is complete.
- Stay up to date on GAR procedures, systems, and best practices.
And Sometimes…
- Jump in where needed to help keep things running smoothly!
- Take on other duties as assigned by your Store Manager or the Admin Team.
What You Bring
- 1 year of customer service experience preferred (automotive experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with automotive parts and vendor return processes preferred
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Organized, detail-oriented, and great at multitasking
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Able to safely lift and carry automotive parts as needed
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery. Occasionally ascends/descends stairs. Will frequently communicate both verbally and electronically. Occasionally will move/lift items up to 40 lbs. Repetitive movements such as bending, reaching, stretching, kneeling, and stooping. Primarily will work indoors but may be exposed to outside weather conditions and shop noise.
