Job Description

At Grab, the Safety team is integral to maintaining trust and security across our vibrant platform, ensuring safer journeys for our Passengers and Driver partners. By employing advanced technologies and innovative strategies, our team creates robust systems to safeguard everyone who relies on Grab.

We tackle intricate challenges in risk management and incident response, employing scalable systems that seamlessly adapt to Grab's diverse markets. Our work includes building sophisticated algorithms, deploying real-time safety monitoring systems, and implementing solid protocols to address topics such as identity verification and emergency response.

Reporting to the QA Engineering Manager II, you will be deeply involved in the quality assurance lifecycle — from planning to execution — for features impacting user security and experience. You'll test across mobile, web, and backend systems, analyze issues through logs and APIs, and contribute to writing various levels of Test automation to ensure smooth releases keeping manual effort to the minimum.

This is a fully onsite role at our Malaysia' Petaling Jaya office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform:

• Design and maintain test plans, cases, and suites for functional and performance testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand feature implementation and derive test scenarios
• Debug and report detailed bugs through log and API analysis
• Execute and maintain automation suites across UI and APIs
• Ensure product quality through thorough automated, exploratory and automated regression testing

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need:

• 3+ years of experience in QA/Automation/SDET roles with scripting skills in Python, Golang, or Java
• Hands-on testing across iOS, Android, Web, and Backend APIs
• Strong ability to analyze logs and API responses at the microservice integration level
• Solid understanding of MySQL and writing database queries
• Experience with tools like Charles, Postman, Selenium/Appium, Jira, Git, and test frameworks (e.g., TestNG, Mocha)
